And with that, the death of #SwanQueen....
Let’s face it. My prediction is unfortunately coming true.
A year ago, I predicted that AT THE END OF THE SERIES, Regina would die at the hands of Emma. Today’s Comic-con panel pretty much confirmed it. Regina goes back to evil, and everybody seems on board with it. The cast, A&E, the lemmings in the audience.
Oh there will be fan fiction. Glimpses of what could have been. But what we want to see…the one thing that makes sense…will never be seen on out TV screens, unless, of course, there is a porn parody, and the guys at Vivid are probably too scared of Disney lawyers for that.
Let’s face it, we are never listened to. We NEVER get a say unless its some promotional stunt. Just accept what you are spoon-fed and never…..EVER complain. They will just put their fingers in their ears and hum.
And it not just us. Game of Thrones. How I met Your Mother. For God’s sakes, HEROES. The list in voluminous. Expecting a bi Constantine on NBC next year. Forget it.
And then we remember TV’s main purpose. To sell soap. To get us to watch just long enough to sell us soap. Nothing more. Its not going to give certain young people something to identify with. Or make life have more importance. All they care about is soap. And Once sells a boatload of soap.
I have been told that SwanQueen is all about hope. The lesson of San Diego 2014 is that hope can be crushed. And it almost always is.
